Chapter 6:The Return of Zero

--The Meeting Room--

Boss:"When the third month dies, two lovers shall be re-united to combat new evil?"

B.C:Correct.

Meia:We have no idea what this means, all we know is that we need to train harder and stronger so we can prepare for this new evil.

Barnette:You saw what happened. Our forces were no match for this new evil mastermind. They say he calls himself "Jazzmaster". Stupid if you ask me.

Naru:But what can we do? We can't re-equip our fighters, all we have are missiles and machine gun ammo, and they seem to be able to anticipate our every move.

Pyro:And I'm sure that I won't be able hold them all off, unless some miracle happens.

Parfeit: We can't do much about power, all I can really do is boost the power of the shields by 20%.

Gascogne:Well, we can't do much, except provide the ammunition. After all, we kurkokos aren't fit for battle on the field.

Jura:It's hopeless!!We can't do anything, and Jura's looks will be wasted!!!

Hibiki:BULLSHIT!!YOU CAN DO ANYTHING AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GIVE UP! WHATS THE POINT OF COWERING IN A CORNER???YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST GET UP AND FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE!!!

Dita:Uchuujin-san(Mr.Alien) is right! We can't give up!!

Boss:Well, that brings us to our second problem...Kagome.

Pyro:Well, as far as I can tell, she won't be able to fight without him, so...wait a minute, why is she so important?

Naru:Well...me and her both were dread fighters...we were one of the best, next to Meia. But, she can't lead us all, so that's when we were assigned as Team leaders, and there are three team leaders...so basically---

Pyro:Without her, 1/3 of the forces are in chaos.

Meia:Basically.

Boss:*sighs* It's that bad, huh? Looks like the dam's been broken, and now the city is outta power.

Pyro:Well, I wouldn't be too worried.

Boss:right....meeting ajorned!

--In the Mess hall--

All was still as she stepped into the mess hall. It was like... a chick coming out of its shell. Except for the fact that she was still moping over Zero's death...hey, at least she was eating again.

Meia:Finally decided to break out of your shell, eh?

Kagome:...You...could say that...*staring at the ground*

Barnette:Well, at least you're eating.

Kagome goes over to the food line and grabs a steak, and sits down and starts eating.

Barnette:*whispering to Meia* Hey, when do you think the author will put us more in the story?

Dita:Dita doesn't know, but why is it in the Vandread Section if most of it is about those two?

Meia:Speaking of which, when is he going to put us on the front lines?

Me:*whispering to all of them* I don't know, maybe you should look at whose WATCHING!!

Kagome:*looking at them* What are you doing?

All of them begin sweating and turning red.

Dita:Uh...uh...oh yeah, uh...Uchuujin-san!!!*runs off*

Meia:Uh...I've got to go do that important...thing...yeah!*runs out*

Barnette:*Sighs* Who am I kidding?*knocks herself out with her pistol*

Kagome:Huh?What was all that about?*confused*

Pyro:Don't mind them.

Naru:They always do this.

Pyro:Oh well, lets go Naru!

Kagome:--"

Pyro and Naru exit the mess hall.

Kagome:*sighs*Huh???EEEK!!!!

Enemy Spy:We've got you now!!!Say goobye!!!!!!!

Kagome:NO!!

She closed her eyes, expecting to soon be dead. 'Zero, I'll soon be with you...' she thought. Part of this was correct, because she didn't die. A gunshot was heard, but it wasn't her who died. The enemy spy was laying on the floor with a big hole thru his head, and she, being with her eyes closed, couldn't tell who it was.

--In the Vent System above the mess hall--

Zero:*quietly* perfect. Huh?

The fan turns on.

Zero:AAAH!!!!!*Crawls away from the fan*

--In the mess hall--

Kagome:Odd. I wonder who shot him...probably Pyro. Maybe I should go thank him.

--In the hangers--

Pyro:Hey Naru, pass me the wrench will you?

The Door opens.

Kagome:Hey Pyro, you here?

Pyro jumps down from his gundam's cockpit, which is at least 50 ft above the ground.

Pyro:What's up?

Kagome:Thanks for saving my ass in the mess hall.

Pyro:*confused*What are you talking about?

Kagome:Well, an enemy spy attacked me and there was a smoldering hole in his head...I thought it was you.

Pyro:Odd...oh well, probably his gun backfired.

Kagome:Oh.

Kagome turns around and heads for the Biopark.

Naru:PYRO!!!!!

Pyro:*turns around with a sweatdrop on his head* Yes??

Naru:WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH KAGOME YOU PERVERT???

Pyro:NOTHING!!!IT WAS JUST A MISUNDERSTANDING!!!!

NARU:ECCHI!!!!!*punches Pyro and sends him flying out the door*

--Meanwhile--

Kagome:Gee, I never knew Pyro had a weakness.*chuckles to herself*

She continues walking to the Biopark, which is deserted.

As she stares into the stars, she stares singing:

I know that you lied to me... Using chance and words to shatter me... Your words were like a dream... But dreams could never fool me.... Not that easily....

She takes a deep breath and continues singing:

"I acted so distant--"

She chokes up there, but another voice comes into play from behind her, one that was strong and yet comforting:

"Then, Didn't say, goodbye before you left, But I was listening, You'll fight your battles far from me, Far too easily."

Kagome turns around. She sees a 19 year old boy, with black hair and blue eyes, wearing a black trenchcoat, smiling.

Zero:*softly*Hey there, bueatiful.

Kagome:....Zero?

She gets teary-eyed at the sight of him.

Zero:*softly* Yes, Kagome...it's me.

Kagome:Zero!!!!!

She runs towards Zero, who greets her with open arms. She starts crying again upon his shoulder.

Unknown to both of them, they were being watched by a demon and his wife. And unknown to THEM, the entire ship is watching the two in the biopark.

--The Bridge, Overlooking the Biopark--

Everyone:Awwwww.

Naru:Its about time he came back.

Pyro:Yeah...*turns his head from Naru to the two in the biopark* They're like ment for each other, practically.

--In a room where EVERYONE is watching the two on a big Screen--

Everyone goes big eyed, and thier mouths become extremely small for some reason, and thier heads inflated for some particular reason too.

Meia:Oh great, we gotta deal with ANOTHER MAN!!

Everyone in the room:SHUT UP!!!!WE STOPPED CARING ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO!!!!

Meia:^^"

Gasgonge:I'm so glad I'm recording this!

--Back in the Biopark--

Kagome, who is still crying on Zero's shoulder, continues crying.

Zero:*softly*Thats it, let it all out, Kagome. No point in holding them all in.

Kagome:Geez, you baka, do you have any idea how sad I was without you here?

Zero:Yes...I heard the song too.

Kagome:God, don't you DARE die again, or I swear I'll shoot you.

Zero:Sure thing.

Kagome:Shut up and kiss me already, you've been gone too long.

Zero:*playfully* NAh! ^^ Gotta catch me first! *runs away*

Kagome, who is now laughing, chases after him.

"You're dead now, Zero!!!"

Following Zero, they eventually reach the mess hall.

Zero:Whoo, I'm hungry, what about you?

Kagome:*mock pouts* But I don't wanna!!!

Zero:*Playing along* Well, you have to.

Kagome:I DON'T WANNA!!!

Zero:I swear to god, you're like my lil' sis that's probably dead.

Kagome:*Mock pouts* Awww, you're no fun!!!

Both of them walk into the mess hall, which unfortunatly, was the "Movie room".

Meia:Alright, then, Team C will follow up the front while My team brings up the back. Weapons used will be mainly machine gun rounds. Any questions?

Zero:What the hell are you doing?

Dita:Uh....we...we were going over the battle plans. Yeah, Thats It!!

Zero:'They need to learn how to lie. Maybe I should give them the special edition Zero Version, "How to Lie without giving yourself away 101"' Yeah. Whatever.

Pyro:AHH!!!!!!RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He flies past Kagome and Zero, causing an updraft...among other things. Luckily, Zero was too busy wondering what Pyro was running from rather than watching his girlfriend's upskirt. (Whats a PG-13 fic without some of this stuff?)

Naru, bringing up the rear, running after Pyro with a mini-cannon designed for the AR-66 Commanche Light Attack Scout helicopter which shoots out depleted uranium rounds at incredible speeds with incredible accuracy.

Naru:ECCHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *continues firing at Pyro*

Pyro:AHH!!!!HOLY SHIT!!HOLY SHIT!!!GEESUS, BROTHER, IF YOU'RE LAUGHING I'M GOING TO BURN YOU WHEN I GO BACK TO HELL!!!

--In Hell--

Satan:Damn.

--Back to the Mess hall--

Zero:They act like a married couple don't they?

Kagome:They ARE married.

Zero:Oh yeah!

Kagome:Geez, sometimes you can be such a baka sometimes.

Zero:HAHA, the way we act in front of people, they'd think you're my little sis.

Kagome:*mock pouts* Leave me alone Brother!!

Zero:*playing along* You better ruuun!!!

Both of them run into Kagome's room.

Pyro:AHH!!!!!!!!!!!!AWW SHIT!!!HOLY SHIT!! BULLSHIT!!! Gee, did I miss any sons or daughters of the Shit family?

Naru:GET BACK HERE PYRO!!!!!!*tosses the gun away and starts chasing after Pyro at an even faster speed*

Pyro:HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Naru:ECCHI!!!*Catches up to Pyro and punches him, sending him flying to the biopark*

Pyro:WHAAAT DID I DOOOOOOoooo......

--Meanwhile, in Kagome's room--

Kagome and Zero are talking, Kagome in bed and Zero sitting on the bed.

Zero:Nice place.

Kagome:*sighs* Sorry for the mess...I couldn't concentrate on anything after you...died.

Zero:Well, I'm here now, thats all you need to know.

Kagome:Well....I've got something to tell you actually...

Zero:What is it?

Kagome:Well....uh...Iyuh...

The door opens.

Naru:Kagome, com---*sees Zero*AH...I'll leave you two alone.*drags Pyro out*

Zero:Odd..anyways you were saying?

Kagome:...Nothing....

Zero:Well, its getting late, I better get going.

Zero leaves. He heads to his room which has been relocated next to hers, due to emotional issues.

--2300 hours that day--

Kagome is having yet another nightmare, of that fateful day from which Zero died.

"DON'T GO!!!IT'S GOTTA BE SUICIDE OUT THERE!!!"

A tear slides down someone's face.

"I'm sorry..."

Kagome wakes up, and Zero walks in, full battle gear. (In otherwords, his normal shirt with the trenchcoat)

Zero:Another nightmare?

Kagome, who at this rate is too damn rattled to say anything, just sat there breathing heavily.

Zero:I'll take that as a yes. In that case, I'll go and watch your door.

Kagome uttered one word almost immediatly after:

"..stay"

Zero was about to reply, when the ship shook.
